Degradation of Cd, Cu, Fe, Mn, Pb and Zn by Moringa-oleifera, zeolite, ferric-chloride, chitosan and alum in an industrial effluent

چکیده
Coagulation-flocculation constitute the backbone process in most water and wastewater treatment plants. This study focused on determining optimum coagulant dose for moringa oleifera seed extract, zeolite, ferric chloride, chitosan aluminium sulphate coagulants through coagulation, flocculation sedimentation process. It also ascertain which has potential higher removal of Cd, Cu, Fe, Mn, Pb Zn. The test was conducted with initial pH, settling time, aid dose, rapid mixing speed & slow time as constant parameters. determination heavy metals concentration POME carried out using an Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS). efficiency assessed terms percentage removals examined. results proved that chitosan, FeCl3, alum, zeolite had concentrations 400, 2000, 1000, 4000 mg/L dosage respectively.
